  1. The Hennig guy was by here last year and said they do repairs at the NC location. Have not had anything done by them but here is contact info: Larry Carver Hennig South East 301 Crompton st. Charlotte, NC 28273 704-504-0032 [email protected] http://www.hennig-inc.com/service_centers.htm
  2. I can see this is going to be tricky. This machine does not have the Laser for tool break check, all I have is the probe that comes out and basically has 2 proximity switches, one decelaration sensor and the one that actually measures the tool position. Second, I cannot call a mazatrol program from an EIA. (I can call a EIA from mazatrol only). Finally, this machine does not have the macro option. Although the program from Guffie has got me thinking about the skip function thing, maybe I can make that work somehow. I can get the machine in position, I can open the probe with an M-code, I can probably figure the distance to travel to the first proximity switch, but I need to figure way to check the activation of the switch. G31 as shown above my work, I'm not sure. Even if I don't get an alarm but the machine just stops trying to touch the probe it will prevent a crash. Anybody have any insight on the G31 (G31.1-.3) option before I get too deep into the manuals?
  3. Anybody had any luck getting the tool break detect to work using G-code programs? It works in mazatrol and simply calling the M-code does not work, I can postion the tool and open the probe, but still not activity on calling the M-code. Mazak says it will not do it, but I'm thinking why not? Reference: H-400N with M32, 1992 model
  4. Check your mail. I've sent what I have. John
  5. I have the procedure somewhere, I'll have to check the manual out by the machine. We orignally got it faxed from Mazak tech support. We typically see it on long high speed spindle runs, we have now set up a 20" box fan on the rear access door blowing in and it seems to help. If I can find the procedure tommorrow, I'll let you know. John
  6. Using the "edit common" workaround causes the posting to fail if it tries to write to a network drive (on my machine anyway). Work around for this is to post it to C: (local) and move it manually.
  7. I am having same issue, thanks for the quick fixes! My question is, has it been reported by anyone? On that same line, is there any access to reported bugs by the end user (us) to see if something is reported before reporting it again? John Morris
  8. I'm opening Acad 2000 files in X and trying to save a .dwg using the R13 format option. When I do this none of the other applications we have around here can open it (ACAD LT98, Smartcam 11.5, QuickCAD 8). If I go back to V9 I can open the same Acad 2000 file and save back to a R13 formate using the converter option no problem. Is there a switch or an option I'm missing. John
