  1. Tim - he is moving or rotating the part in a special fixture after every operation with the same tool. This is only becuase they don't have a rotary head. I told them to get themselves one, but no, they have more fun making complex fixtures for a single part!!! But my buddy was happy this morning anyway!
  2. ThanX. He'll be happy when I give him the answer in the AM. I'll give you guys a little credit too!
  3. I think that the way he'll have to go. To force a toolchange with evey operation. Thanks Murlin.
  4. Ignore last post. How do I insert M01, optional stop after every operation for SAME tool, without keying it into the code?
  5. Hi'ya everyone, It's been a long time! A buddy of mine asked me a question I coulnt answer (which is par). How do you insert an M02 after every operation, without editing the Gcode. Not only after every tool change, but after every operation of each tool? He's using V9.0.
  6. Hi gang! I haven't been on the forum lately and I see a lot of new names! Over the last few months I've been phased out of programming and promoted (perhaps demoted?)to assistant inspector. Ahh, sweet revenge!!! But I just jumped in to say thanks to folks on the greatest forum on the net. Many a time, over the past year, you've tossed me a life preserver when I was near drowning. We've shared some great laughs, some great political discussions and some friendships around the globe from Canada to India to teh 100 acre Woolery. To the newbies, from a user of almost all them systems out there, Powermill, Artcam, NC Polaris, Smartcam, Surfcam, Visi-cam, and now using Fabrivision for sheet metal inspection, MC is simply the best CAD/CAM system there is. Period. To the oldies, isn't X out yet??? But -- as the Governator of the California folks says -- I'll be back!! Happy New Year and the best to all!! Phil
  7. I too offer my thanks to a great forum for Mastercam help, general machining questions and political discussions and some laughs! Although I unfortunately cannot be a day to day user at this time, I try to come here as often as I can, mainly on weekends. Phil
  8. Lyncad, Is there a converter available for Dyna language into G code - something similar to the Anilam conversational g-code converter? Thanks for your help. I will probably be emailing you shortly as soon as my boss goes ahead with it. Phil
  9. I have never heard of Dyna Mechtronics. Now my boss may be purchasing an old (1990 or earlier, #DM440? with 9 tool-changer) Dyna shop mill or knee mill, as I think its called and I will be programming it. Does anyone out there use a Dyna machine? Any information will be helpful. Thanks, Phil
  10. Looks terrific! It seems more like a natural windows interface something like Powermill. Looking forward to it! Phil
  11. Gov't jobs with prints from the 50's with missing dimensions and vellum overlays to scale up!!!
  12. 98 VFO & VF1. Monitors good. Ran day and night. In the summer low power from the line caused the monitor to flutter a lot. Phil
  13. Does anyone use Dyna Mechtronics CNC Shop mills? My boss is thinking of buying an old used one. I think the number is DM440 from 1990 or earlier, with a 9 station toolchanger. Any info will be helpful about its productivity, pitfalls, DNC linking etc. Phil
