  3. Hello everyone. I need to cut a glass cover slip 2mm in dia and .17mm thick with a .02mm rad on one edge. I need help with what kind of cutter to use, that has vary tight tollerances? Thank you for any help. Joel
  4. I have cut a couple ellipsoids using formulas. The f-plot chook works great. I usally use 3d-scalop or project blend. The only thing I do not know is how tight to make the grid for the points used to create the surface. Do the number of points afect the accuracy of the surface? joel
  5. I use the stuff all the time, with vary good luck. The thickess is vary consistent, the stuff I have is .0045. You should becareful about cutting into the tape stay .005 off the tape. I use acetone to clean the parts It dosen't leave residue. Coolant and heat will affect the tape so use air to clear the chips. Mitee-bite makes some that is heat active. might be better for clearing the chips and coolant doesn't affect it. I have not tried it yet so don't know how well it works. hope this helps.

  8. Hello everyone.I have to drill a .15mm hole 5mm deep in 304ss. I only have one shot to do it. Max rpm is 8000 what do you think I should use for chip load and peck depth? The drill is carbide. I have not heard back form the manufacture and, I have to do it today. thank you for any help. Joel

  10. Hello everyone. I have to make a tear drop out of 304 ss I was hoping someone could help me with Ideas for fixturing? I will be using F-plot to create the surface how tight should I make the grid? Do the node points afect the accurase of the surface? thank you for any help

  13. I think I may have been typing when your post came up I didn't see it till after I sent mine. I do not know what to do? I will think about it over lunch.I will let you know what I come up with. joel
  14. I only have one slot 20mm ramped from full depth to nothing. I'm sorry I thought you meant 80 ipm just didn't think. I think I will try .002"doc with .0002 ipt. Thank you for all your help. It will be a couple of hours before I cut it so If you think of anything else please let me know. One other thing should I use coolant or air? joel
