When using the Module Works Simulator sometimes the Automatic Position setting will no longer place my work in the correct position. Then I have to change to Translated Position and set everything to zero to put it back in place. Does anyone know what causes this to occur. I have two saves of the same file where in one automatic positions it correctly and on the other it floats. The second one I was in process of making some viewsheets and when I went back to simulate the part was floating. I think creating the viewsheets was the only thing I changed so I don't understand why that would cause my part to be floating in space in the Simulator. Please let me know if you can shed some light on this

Hello Everyone, This is my first post. Recently I've just finished a Mazak Vortex 1400 MachSim. Toolpath selected and load MachSim to Simulate and seeing my Workpiece isn't the same position of how I set it up in the program. When I tried to Selected elements and add the Machine Table (X_AXIS) and it does show the Workpiece in the right position but it also bring in the machine table. I attached two images for more info. model created in Mcam 2019 and export as .stl when describes machine. .xml set to inch Are there any step I need to do to correct? Thank you in advance. T

I am trying to decide if i should go with a program like Vericut or NCSimul, if true NC verification is even necessary, or if the Mastercam machine simulation will be sufficient for my needs. I have a 5 axis table-table configuration. With regards to the NCI verfication/Mastercam, the main options are: to outsource kinematics development for my particular machine to my post processor developer for some $$$ or to try and setup the kinematics, XML and all that on my own using tutorials. I have a full solid assembly from my machine tool builder for this exact purpose ready to go. This is potentially extremely challenging and i could also make a fatal mistake. Keep in mind that I am in an educational environment where production speed and throughput is not necessarily the largest factor to consider. I am more than willing to proof out parts cutting air if needed. But I would like something on my computer that will give me a good, clear idea of what the machine is about to do before i waste any time doing setups, etc. Any thoughts on the matter? thanks C

I was trying to get a machine setup in Machsim this morning. I decided that I needed to spend more time exporting my STL files so I exited machsim and did that, then tried to go back into Machsim and it won't let me start it up. Nothing shows up. If I hover over the X7 icon on my taskbar I see this: I tried delete the mwMachSim.ini file, I renamed my entire Mymcamx7 directory so Mastercam would recreate it, none of it worked. Anybody have any thoughts? Matt.
