mpmaster x7 help!!!

using mpmaster x7 version or mpmaster x6 version in x7 sp1 when you post a program using an advanced toolpath (anything other than simple 2d toolpath ie contour or pocket) it feedrates z axis all the way to the retract point. it only does this on the first toolpath at the beginning of the program. any help would be great

Have you checked to make sure Rapid Retract is checked on the tool parameters page?

yes rapid retract is on... this is at the beginning of the program. this issue is with any highspeed toolpaths first toolpath posted only.

notice the safety line is a G01 in example 1 and G00 in example 2 and also after the m8

example 1 also outputted g94 and a federate on that line... im really lost on this issue... might have to go back to x6 mu3

G94 means feed per minute it's valid output and most modern controls

don't have any problem with it

I have seen some very old controls that won't accept it.

open up your Misc page

Set Reals/HS to 0

that will get rid of the high speed look-a-head output (G05.1 Q1)

go into the Control Definiton.. look on the Feed /Mill page

and make sure "Convert rapid to maximum federate" is NOT checked

on the 2D op,, is your feed plane is your feed plane set to incremental or absolute

its set to incremental. but that's how I always do it... opticore toolpath is the one posting on the safety line g01 and feeding from machine home
