Thermwood Super Controller 91000

We are purchasing a new CNC with a supercontroller there is a feature called Cad Part and DXF translatorm and another Easy Link. These say the automatically create CNC files? I don't see how thses can create a CNC program. Can anyone please calrify this?

 

We are going to use mastercam if we get it to cut composite parts.

There is NOTHING[b/] "super" about this. We use MC to program out routers and it works fantastic. We have dialed in posts also for the Thermwoods.

 

".... automatically..." Buuuuuwwwwaaaaahhhhhhhh! Only Pro/E has the magic machine button I thought. ROFL!!!!

 

Stick with MC and get a good post and you'll be home free.

Many routers have the ability to create 2D toolpaths from DXF files. This must be a new option for the Thermwood. You'll have very little control over the cuts if you use their stuff. If it's free, go ahead and take it. If it costs you ANYTHING, forget it and program offline.

We use the "Super Control" on our Thermwoods as well as program with MasterCAM, it's virtually flawless (knock on wood!). I have taken a gander at the programming software on the control of the machine, and to be honest, I was a little skeptical. I'm sure there are pro's out there that can do it, but I'm also confident you would have much better luck using MasterCAM.
