Can someone please explain Save Locations in better detail to me. I am trying to help someone save all their mastercam files to one location only and always. They are still using X9 and it keeps saving to the same past job folder. It always saves to the same location yet in the configuration area for files i don't see that address for the past job anywhere. Please help

I use the project manager...

It saves everything you choose to the working folder...

Next job, next set of folders

My typical workflow...

Create Folder for part file

Start MCAM file

Save Mastercam File to working folder...

With Project manager, the file will always save to that folder and nc files and any other selected options in the Project Manager save to that folder

Thank you for the advice I will look into the project manager more. BTW I changed the file location in configuration for the "current mcam files" and that worked. Now when saving a new file in x9 it goes to the location I specified in configuration instead of that old job folder.

Yup I use that as the main directory but then in main directory, all different customers and inside customer folder all different part files
