Probe Flatness check

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,
I am trying to use the "PROBE" to check the flatness of the part then find the lowest point to add or subtract it into the Z work offset.  Would you guys show me some codes?  So far this is what I have but I don't know where to start.

(FLATNESS CHECKER)
G65 P9820 1-4.61 JO 10 J-4.61 14.61 JO ZO F60.

PS: I have Mazak.

Thanks for the help,
   S.Luong

I am no expert on probing, but from the manual, I think something like this might work:

T30 M06

G0 G90 G54 X0.0 Y0.0 G43 H30 Z1.

G65 P9810 Z0.25 F100

G65 P9820 Z0 I1.0 J0.0 I-1.0 J0.0 I0.0 J1.0 I0.0 J-1.0 U0.05 S1

This should probe points at x0 y0; x1 y0; x-1 y0; x0 y1 & x0 y-1. Then it should take the lowest value & set that as the new G54.
