Translate 3D

Since I started using MC, when I want to align a part to the reserved top plane, I create a plane from a solid surface, that I want aligned. Then I select the solid and translate 3D, from the created plane to top.

It has worked flawlessly...until 2022. Now sometimes instead of being perfectly aligned with the reserved plane, it is off by a fraction of a degree.

Using analyze draft angle, it will display as horizontal, but analyze dynamic will give the true angle (On a side note, why is it giving a 89.9881° reading for a nearly horizontal surface? Shouldn't it read -0. 119°?).

The trouble is that Optrough will not recognize the surface as a floor stock. So I have to fight till I get it flat before I can proceed.

Is there a tolerance value that has somehow got change on my box? Anyone have any ideas, or experiencing the same behavior?

I moved it with the normal dynamic translate until I got it to 89.999°, which optirough will accept. But it's a little (a lot) frustrating to have this suddenly go screwy. I can program the parts wherever they are in space, it's just that my template files are set up for doing the way I have for the last 7 years at this place.

I can always find a way, but I'm not gonna lie, this is irritating the dickens outta me today.

No, it doesn't happen all the time, so I can't recreate it and the parts are NDA.

I would suggest you submit a ticket to qc with a verbal description, they may find something in the source code.

I tried installing the automatic toolpaths, following the readme.pdf file & the video from your YouTube channel. But I am not getting the dockable window. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

The; cAutomaticMillToolpaths folder, AutomaticMillToolpaths.dll, & AutomaticMillToolpaths.ft files are in; C:\Users\Programmer PC\Documents\My Mastercam 2022\Mastercam\Add-Ins\Add-Ins

The FaceLoopChain.dll file is in; C:\Program Files\Mastercam 2022\Mastercam

I rebooted my box after the installation, but still no joy.

You have an extra Add-Ins folder in your folder tree,
