Fine Bore shift Cycle Question

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I'm in the process of relearning MasterCam as I've been using a different software for the past couple years. I'm attempting to bore a hole in our 3 axis mill. I know to do it as a drill cycle,  but I don't see a boring head in the standard tool directory.

Is there some place I could download this tool for creating the path.

Thanks

You can create a fine bore tool in the tool manager.

Open Tool Manager, Right click in tool list, create Tool.... scroll down to Holemaking and select Bore.

In Cut Parameters of drill operation, under cycle drop down. There you will find 2 options for Fine Boring;

Bore#1(Feed-Out)

Bore#2(Stop Spindle, Rapid Out)

Thank you, I was able to create a tool to use for boring heads we currently have setup
