Default Material and Tool speeds and feeds

I seem to recall some members having issues with setting this up, some one else might chime in with what the issue is.

I personally use speeds and feeds from tool and have created tool libraries for specific materials, i.e. ALU , different carbon steels, Stainless, etc, etc.

This is the method I have been teaching customers to use. Each tool and holder will have it's own sweet spots and defaults from Material are not as refined for these situations as needed.

Default speeds and feeds for material and tools are the speeds and feeds that a machine or tool is set to when it is first turned on. This setting is usually picked by the manufacturer to give a safe and reliable cutting speed for a wide range of materials and tools.

Most of the time, these choices are best for a certain kind of material, like aluminum or steel, and a certain kind of tool, like a drill bit or a router bit. It's important to remember that the speeds and feeds should be changed based on the material, tool, and cutting conditions.

This is because different tools and materials need different cutting speeds and passes to be used safely and well.
