contour mill surface...please help.

how can i stop the cutter to cut at the left wall of "A" surface, i only wanted to cut it at the right wall like "B" surface. i have upload my file (mill surf test b.mc9) to FTPmc9 file .any help please. thanks

try using the tool containment box i uploaded a new file (mill surf test b1) will this work?

Hi B whale I saw your file.

If you wanted to machine only one side of a vertical surface use containment Boundary. I have made one file called cadtest b.mc9 Please have a look if you wanted this.

all reply. here i have some question.

 

1)must i use tool cointainment to stop the cutter

to cut on the left wall (as it is 90deg

wall),does it have any other setting (select a wall to be cut)in the mill surf contour parameter?

 

2)in surfaces "A", there is a wall(90deg) and a

face (a bit decline) that almost perpendicular to

cutter.

So in "mill surface contour" how to let the cutter to cut as deep as it can (not separate to cut a few times) at the wall.........and how to let it cut all of the face (a bit decline)?it is not remove all.

try makeing the 90 degree wall a check surface then the cutter wont climb it but it wont gouge into it
