If I cut a circle out of square material I end up with scrap in each of the four corners. Is there an easy way to automatically machine all left over scrap stock?

Well you can add extra step overs to remove the extra before the main contour.

If I step over a lot there is a lot of cutting time in the air. I would like it to rapid to the next spot.

Offset your circle a little smaller than your cutter dia as many times as necessary and trim them to make a short 2d toolpath. Chain the line work and rotate and copy for the 3 other corners.

 

Another way would be to use a pocket tool path with your circle as an Island.

Create a rectangle around your part and do pocketing with an island. The rectangle will need to be bigger on each side by a value greater then the radius of the tool. HTH

You could also use the highfeed option, this tool will look at a STL file or you job setup, and rapid were no stock is. I have only play with this option, so I am not a expect. But that would be a another alternative, right guy's?
