  1. Featurecam has this same functionality. It is really nice because it minimizes tool changes. For instance if all the parts get faced on each side of the pallet (completely different parts and programs), it will face everything before moving to the next tool.
  2. Thanks. The machine is only 12,000 RPM, but only about 100 3/8" pockets in 1 part
  3. I need to machine a bunch of honeycomb pockets in some maple and have never cut wood. I am using a 1/8" 2 flute carbide end mill cutting 0.750" deep into a blind bottom pocket. Should I cut at max RPM and feeds similar to aluminum?
  4. I found it in the post. There was a line called zhome under general output settings
  5. I recently purchased a post and was told it would take a week to modify this. At the end of a tool cycle, before a tool change, It is outputting a default of Z10. and I need it to say Z50. It is for an okuma mb4000 horizontal. I cant find in the post where this is located. I thought it was typed out literally like Z10., but I did a ctrl+F and couldn't find it in the post.
  6. We often times have parts where the position on screen may be off bit (0.00001"). When selected for depth of cutting it shows the actual depth at which the entity is. Our post will round to 4 decimal places. Is it possible to have Mastercam only show 4 decimal places?
  7. I must have a setting different because as soon as I start to do it, everything moves quickly away. I then click the fit button and it come back in a rotated position.
  8. In verify X7 sp2, is it possible to set the rotation point? I am using the center mouse wheel and when I rotate with it my model disappears because the rotation pint is somewhere else in space.
  9. I had this issue in SP2 using fbm drill. I ended up moving the solid and regenerating. I did not verify again. Everything looked good on where the blue toolpath was but the chamfer was off on the finished part on the machine. I ran it through verify and it showed it. I never could get it to capture the right points so I created geo and used that instead. I just thought that it could have been a lot worse than it was, especially if I would have moved the solid a bunch!
  10. Thanks- I'm still using it in Metric. We have ran one simple job on it and they are quite amazing!
  11. What is the M code to turn on the airblast and rotate the spindle on a Mazak integrex? I could only find it for the subspindle.
  12. We just purchased an Integrex 200-3s with a Fusion 640mt control. It is in metric and was wondering if it could be converted to inches in the control. It didnt come with any operator manuals.
  13. posted code was fine. I think it had to do with the start point being on the same location as an endpoint. There are more chains- or segments when I am using the window selection because it doesnt figure in the branch points, it just makes a new segment.
  14. I keep getting an error in X7 while using a contour. I engrave the softjaws with a part # and use boxfont font in Mastercam. I turn off compensation and lead in. I use a engraving tool and scratch the surface -0.005". I keep getting an error saying invalid tool motion. This happens for new files as well as X6 saved as X7. I chain using a window and click a start point- same as x6. My chain options from what I can tell are all the same. If I manually click each chain and proceed when I reach a branch point, it works fine, but this takes a while. Anyone know a solution?
  15. I'm using X7 SP1, but I realized after reading this, I too have to click into the chaining box and then the R key works. When using a turn (lathe) profile, I noticed that even if the arrow is the wrong way and I click the end of the chain, it automatically makes it the right way.
  16. That doesn't work for me in solid chain mode- only geometry mode.
  17. Is there a hot key to reverse the chaining start direction when using solid chaining? I always seem to click the wrong way and wanted to hit the "R" key or something similar like when chaining with geometry.
  18. Thanks for the help. I will call CNC and in house and talk to them both.
  19. I did- and I was going to try it out because I was excited about it! I contacted my dealer and since it was not a new machine (They only have the Mazak 200-IV-S available) and he promptly sent me a machine info sheet. Once I filled it out, the response that came from CNC to my dealer was: 'This series is on the radar screen though it’s undetermined where on the priority list it might fall. Once the machine is added then you can purchase Mill Turn. Again there is not time table for when this Machine might be added and you would be available to buy it.' And that burst my bubble!
  20. We have a 2004 Mazak Integrex 200-3s on the way and was trying to get a machine setup and built in mastercam. I keep getting errors. Does anyone have a baseline machine definition built so I can see how the 5 axis head and main/ sub spindles are to be set up?
  21. We are looking at purchasing a used Mazak Integrex 200-3s- 2004 year- and was wondering if anyone had the dimensions on where to drill the anchor bolts. We tried calling Mazak and they flat out said no. They only provide info for a new machine purchase and if we want dimensions, buy a new machine.
  22. QC answered the problem. Had to turn off User account security and restart- worked perfect.
