I have been using the Surface-Rough-Plunge option lately on some large boxes. However, I would like to have the pattern spiral from the center out (sort of like parallel spiral in the pocketing op). I have played with the NCI rather than zig-zag option, but it is just not making sense to me.

Here is what I did for one job I had. Create a pocket toolpath with your. Then create a Surface-Rough-Plunge toolpath and in the Rough plunge parameters page select NCI instead of Zig Zag. That did the trick for me.

Hope this helps,

Have a nice day,
