Hi all,

I just bought a 97 OKK G4 Graphite machine and I am having all kinds of accuracy issues with it. I was told about the soft scale thermo compensation parameters that can be set in the machine. But, I don’t understand when and how I should use it??? banghead.gif Any input would be great!!

Also, has anyone else used this machine before and what kind of experiences have you had with it????

Thanks, Lou

well Lou

it's been a while since i had dealt with this.

we have this on our okk. this is just from memory.

it has something to do with the machine temp.

it is supposed to commensate for this during

machineing.example if you were to pick your

piece up in the morning and then pick the same

piece up in the afternoon in the same spot you might have a couple

thou difference. the soft scale is supposed to

commpensate for this. i think you can only use it

in only two axis's like x,y. now i'm just jogging

my brain on this headscratch.gif , i,m sure some one know's more

on this. sorry i could'nt be more help.

have a good day
