Loosing info in V8.1.1

One of my Mastercam seats is still working with V8, and recently we are experiencing data loss when saving. The problem apparently only occurs while in metric configuration. It doesn´t occur everytime you save, but it happens at the worst time.

 

After you save the file, if you try to open it again, nothing comes up in the screen (all geometry is lost as well as toolpath operations).

In windows the file shows 0kb file size. We are running under Windows 2000 professional.

 

If this has happened to any of you, please help me out.

1. Check your video card's hardware accel setting.

 

2. Change the file open dialog under programs-mastercam8-cncreg

Do not use spaces ,additional points , minus signs and too long names and directory names .

Use "_ "like Winnie_teh_pooh.mc8

Also are you saving over network ?

Also just for such cases configure your Autosave function in screen->configure to save your file under other name in the custom folder say every 5 minutes like I have c:mastrestbackup.mc8 .

To change settings press Alt+A
