IGES help...

I have a model that was imported into Mastercam originally as an IGES file from Pro-E. I don't have solids so the model came in as surfaces. I've made some changes and converted the file out as an IGES to send to the customer so they can view them by translating into Pro-E. When he tries to open it, all he gets is a 2-D drawing rather than a model. I'm using V8.1.1. any suggestions on why this might be happening? i've never tried this before. I even opened the IGES file in AutoVue on my PC and it looks like a model. could it be a setting on his end in Pro-E?

When you convert all the converted levels must be viewable .

all the levels i wanted him to see were visible before converting.

don't know what masking is, so its probably not being used.

Biss,If You want it for pro-e. then simply convert the file in proe format.

Not sure if it was there in 8. Just check and tell.

I don't have the proe converter.

When converting to iges click on masking and make sure no surface type is selected.

no masking is being used in the levels area. when i convert it to iges, i don't get to choose anything other than the name it is being saved under.
