Lathe Question

Hi all,

I put a MC8 file on the FTP in the mcam8 folder. It is called mystery_path.mc8 Can someone look at it and tell me what setting I have incorrect. The first roughing pass moves about .05 in z- after the pass. All other passes including the finish pass are ok. I need to get rid of this, the chuck is there!

I just tried in 9. Before regen I get the same thing. If I regen, making no changes, it works fine.

 

Maybe try saveing file, re-open and re-gen.

I looked at the file and had the same results as Troy. The error was there when I first ran the file so I looked at the settings and I saw nothing wrong. After regen it looked fine. This is also in V9.

I exited MC completly and restarted computer also.

After regen funny path is still there.

Any other ideas?

If you define your chuck jaw boundries (in job setup) Mastercam should prevent you from hitting them. This might force the error to go away.

i just tried it in 8 and i can not get it to stop overshooting on the first pass either. If you figure it out let us no i am curious about this also.

Im using 9 and everything looks good and regen fixes it also. I dont know!
