Downloading machine parameters

The company I work for is in the process of moving into a new building. Before I disconnect power to the machines I'd like to download the parameters just in case. The machine moving first is a Matsuura RA-IIF with a Yasnac I80 control. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could step me thru this process or have any more advise on what to do before relocating machines.

I don't know specifically for that control, but on my Fanuc 0-M I just pull up the parameters page, set the computer to receive and presss "output-start" on the control. This works for the parameters, diagnostics, work offset, tool length offsets and whatever else there might be that I'm forgetting.

On our older Fanucs it is:

Either MDI or Edit mode then

P-9999 punch

Thanks guys, turns out I had to write enable the parameters in order to output them.

Beware!!! There are parameters on some controls that are incapable of being sent to the RS232 port.

 

On most of the pre-15 Fanuc controls the PC parameters, timer settings and counter settings are not punched out. The only way is to write them down.

 

Re-inputting parameters is whole other can of worms.
