Just stumbled across a rather trivial mcam function, but it still saves a click.....

 

Was entering info in offset distance box and needed to split it in half. Didn't open calculator but still did the keywork , and much to my suprise when i looked up,the correct value was in the box.

 

Apparently the offset distance box also functions as a basic calculator.

 

Lemme guess....i'm the only one who didn't know this

Most of these variable entry fields will perform arithmatic functions. and it is kinda cool. I often take advantage of this feature.

I rarely even open the calculator when using MC, it's a beautiful thing...

Agreed. If you right click many of these boxes, you'll see some neet stuff too. BTW, you can use extended math functions, using parenthetical equations, including inside the prompt window at the bottom of the screen

Ive used all the right click functions , just never had a use for that function in those boxes ,i guess......
