updating post

Should I run the c-hook "Uptxt8" when I install any new versions of mastercam. I am running V8 now, and I was wondering if updating this would benefit me in any way. I've been running V8 for some time now, and I haven't had any trouble with the post. What does the update actually do anyway?

I believe it is for updating version 7 files that you may want to keep. Like tool library and things. I may be wrong but it wouldn't be the first time.

The c-hook is for updating Pre V8 post to work for V8.... However, by updating old post, you are not able to use some functions such as "sub programs".
