work coordinate system

Hi there. Could somebody please help me? I'm not sure if this is a MC question or more post related. Can I set my work coord system in MC or do I do it in the post itself? Right now I go down through all my tools in the post editor and manually change it from the default G 54 to whatever I am going to use for the part I'm making. I was hoping I could just set it in mc like I set the tool height offsets. I'm using the mpmaster post with HAAS machines, if this means anything. I apologize if this is post related, but i'm just not sure. thank you

Look in your misc integers;

code:

[misc integers]

1. "Toolpath routing macro number, 5000~5700"

2. "System macros (see system macros sheet)"

3. ""

4. ""

5. ""

6. ""

7. ""

8. "Abs/Inc, top level [0=ABS,1=INC]"

9. "Lock on First WCS [0=No,1=Yes]"

10. "M00 before operation [0=No,1=Yes]"

In the toolpath operations set your "Lock on First WCS" to one. (Don't remember which misc integer it is , I moved mine to 9) If this is set to one all the other operations will be set to the first G5? code. You can default the misc integer in your post.

code:

301. Miscellaneous integer variable 1 (mi1)? 0

302. Miscellaneous integer variable 2 (mi2)? 0

303. Miscellaneous integer variable 3 (mi3)? 0

304. Miscellaneous integer variable 4 (mi4)? 0

305. Miscellaneous integer variable 5 (mi5)? 0

306. Miscellaneous integer variable 6 (mi6)? 0

307. Miscellaneous integer variable 7 (mi7)? 0

308. Absolute or Incremental [0=ABS,1=INC] (mi8)? 0

309. Lock on First WCS [0=No,1=Yes] (mi9)? 0

310. M00 before operation [0=No,1=Yes] (mi10)? 0

On the Tool Parameters tab in any individual operation, if you click on the T/C Pland button, in the lower left corner there is a work offset button. If you set it to 0 it will output a G54. If you set it to 1 it will output a G55. 2 gives you a G56... so on and so forth.

Hope it helps!
