Verification software

We are looking for Verification software and we received a demo and quote from Vericut. After seeing the quote my superviser now wants me to hunt down other verification software companies if for nothing else to justify the price for Vericut. Could you please give me names for other high end verification software companies?

I use Predator VCNC. Its about 1/3 the price

of Vericut. Its not as powerful as Vericut, but its much easier to use and works very well for me.

I use it almost exclusively for 4 and 5 axis

gcode verification and it save my butt on a daily basis

We are vericuts users here, i know its expensive and its even pricey to be on their maintance program, but the stuff is just awesome. We have head/head, nutator, and table/table 5 axis machines here and it just real handy. alot of the stuff we do is big and expenseive and we only get one try on it - the auto difference option is just great also

We only do 3-axis work, but get by with MetaCut as it was cheap. The rendering is rough but it has never failed in showing crashes/gouges.

I couldn't tell from your website if you had a need for the 4&5 axis stuff.

G-code, Jim Varco e-mailed me and is offering me a 30 day evaluation. On Fridays I leave at 11:00 so I'll give him a call Monday.

 

Justin, Vericut gave a very nice demo and they do have inpressive software, but we need to find out if we can get the same basic results from another company at a better price.

 

Betts, thanks but I'm looking for more than what Metacut can offer.

 

Robert, looking at the website if we used robots I would definitely be calling them in for a demo.

We just got Vericut about a month and a half ago (and are pretty pleased with it). It's already saved us a few times, (one the very first job we ran through it). If your looking for a way to justify such a cost, there is a thread about justification from actual users on the vericut forum sight.

 

Just thought I'd mention that to you.
