HELP!!! INDEX PROBLEMS!!

I have Haas VMC post with rotary indexer(A axis) that I am just getting going. My problem is I need to have the A index at the start of every sequence. Right now if the prior sequence is say A90. it will not put a index in on the next sequence if it is also at A90.

Also, right now it makes a X,Y,Z move on the index line. I need to have the Z move on the next line after the index or I will crash machine.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

check your post and see if you have an index variable as shown here.

code:

# --------------------------------------------------------------------------

# Rotary Axis Settings

# --------------------------------------------------------------------------

vmc : 1 #0 = Horizontal Machine, 1 = Vertical Mill

rot_on_x : 1 #Default Rotary Axis Orientation, See ques. 164.

#0 = Off, 1 = About X, 2 = About Y, 3 = About Z

rot_ccw_pos : 1 #Axis signed dir, 0 = CW positive, 1 = CCW positive

index : 0 #Use index positioning, 0 = Full Rotary, 1 = Index only

ctable : 5 #Degrees for each index step with indexing spindle

Set index to 1 (index : 1) to get code output with the A value on a seperate line and without any winding up. Index : 0 is used for full rotary machines.
