Please read all below before flamming!

 

My Company is looking at purchasing a second hand Deckel 5 axis mill with a Heidenhain TNC430 controller, The dealer is saying that this particular machine will not accept ISO code as it does not have the ISO option, This sounds a bit strange to me as I thought all Heidenhain's took ISO.

 

So that brings me to ask, There is a 5 axis Heidenhain ISO post on the CD but no conversational post so if somebody has a machine like this did you buy a post from your dealer? or is there one that I can customize some where else.

 

I am not after a free post just an idea on which one to start with and yes I have done a reasonable amount of post customization before.

All heidenhains can read ISO format but the last owners may have disabled the .ISO file format if so just switch it back on again

I have seen one of these machines at a former employer’s shop.

I believe the conversational is called Shop Mill or Shop Mate – something like that; I also know that this machine takes ISO coding as well.

Sounds rather suspicious when then dealer or reseller can say that it won’t take the code.
