  1. Matsuura h-plus 630 We have just now purchased our third one in the last 2 years,We cut titanium, Hard Metal and Automotive Cast Iron parts 24Hrs a day every day. and no problems! Great Machine
  2. We don't use coolant but an aerosol mist directed through the cutting tool (basically veg. oil)instead you can see exactly what you are cutting at all times We cut 7075 aircraft structure components only on a large 30,000 rev's high speed 6-axis milling machine. We would never go back to coolant again it's just to messy.
  3. Ok just rolled back the graphics drivers to v67.22 and everythings how it should be
  4. Ok My backplot is doing all the above (the "epileptic fish comment" above made me laugh all the same. ) I've tried all the above settings and nothing changes has any one got this sorted yet? Dell Precision M60 laptop Pm 2000 1 Gig Ram quadro fx go 1000 card
  5. There is an nci to apt converter available check the "definitive c-hook list" on this web site (Tools page)
  6. Dell Precision M60 Here - fx Quadro card really fast and very reliable.
  7. Received this this morning: Hi! I read you post in eMastercam.com forum. I'm interested Mastercam X & Mastercam Art, but can't buy a legal copy. I have a big FTP-server with a lot of new CAD/CAM/CAE soft, all illegal, full working. We can swap, just for funny & education, not for profit. Alex. Sankt-Peterburg. Russia. mail: [email protected]
  8. Check out The "Elbo" tool presetters http://www.nikkenworld.com/presetters.htm Their software prints the tags for the tooling and writes the tool parameters to a program you can load into the machine, as you record the tool values Its what we use and it works great
  9. Wow caught by the small print. we are getting the maintance any way so it wont be a problem when it arrives thanks Robk.
  10. I just tried to open a .step file using 9.1 mr0105 now its asking for the access code and is not allowing me to open this type of file anymore. Our Maintenance has just run out and we are negotiating for the incoming year at the present However I thought that once you had recieved this translator during the maintance contract you got to keep it. Very surprised
  11. This is great saves me an awfull lot of time
  12. Thanks any way chipper but I went with Tim's 2nd idea on this one
  13. Thanks Guys it was definitely the fmt and fs2 statements
  14. I am editing a post to enable support of high speed machining functions using a user input value between 1 and 10 So far I have managed to get the Misc. functions to output where I want the G131 R command using(mi3 1=ON 0=OFF) but now I would like to be able to input a value after the "R" using (mi4 = 1 thru 10), however whenever I go to post I get G131 Rmi4 Instead of G131 R7 (for example) I must be missing something or else I have to write a statement if mi4= 7 (Do this) Am I on the right track or off on a tangent??
  15. Ok, here it is I know this is for a 4th axis but you should be able to apply it to your requirements, this post counts the angle moves ie. M21 (P1 ANGLE=???) M21 (P2 ANGLE=???) sextext "4TH AXIS CODE" #snameext "test" #spathext = "C:MASTERCAMMILLNC" extprg : 2 #no_updprv : 1 pcout #C axis output if index = zero & rot_on_x, [ if absinc = zero, [ if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), "M21", " (", *IndCnt, " ANGLE = ", ~cabs, ")", e extprg = 1 subout = 3 if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), *IndCnt, " ", cabs, !cinc subout = 0 if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), IndCnt = IndCnt + 1 ] else, [ if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), "M21", " (", *IndCnt, " ANGLE = ", ~cabs, ")", e extprg = 1 subout = 3 if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), *IndCnt, " ", cinc, !cabs subout = 0 if (fmtrnd(cabs) <> fmtrnd(prv_cabs)), IndCnt = IndCnt + 1 ] ]
  16. Yes it's possible, We have a 4th axis post which outputs the "A" angle to a seperate file And keeps the angle in the program with the "M21" indexer call. You need to look around the pfcout and pcout lines in your post and add in some counter stuff I'll take a look at the lines.
  17. Great I'll make some enquirys then. Thanks for the reply.
  18. Yep thats exactly what I mean A3= B3= C3= So I take it that it Can be done ok then.??
  19. Hi, Does anyone know if the 840d post supports 5 axis output using vectors to control the tool axis and does mastercam directly support the output of spline data thru nurbs
  20. Sorry Guys , but after a quick call to our technical support who then made a call to Cnc Software it looks as if Mastercam can't do this type of entry toolpath. This technique is described in the latest titanium application guide from Sandvik and is supposed to be 60% easier on tool life looks like I'll have to manually create a 2d contour to get it to apply this method. Thanks anyway's
  21. Just a straight forward 2d internal pocket thanks Also I do not want to helix onto the part I am roughing using a 63mmDia. 45 deg appr. f/mill and am looking to roll into the part to start cutting only.
  22. We are cutting our first Ti part soon and are sorting out strategies at the moment. Most of our tool suppliers recommend to arc on to any roughing operations, Fine but say I want to m/c a pocket and plunge off the part to the cutting depth how do I get mastercam to arc into the workpiece to start machining, Any toolpaths I try it always defaults to the first movement as being a straight line???
