Acad text to toolpath?

Can someone explain to me why geometry brought into MC via Autocad will allow a toolpath-but the text will not? Customer is asking for some text data to be engraved on the part-for now we are redrawing it in MC. But that is all extra time we think should be avoidable. Thanks

What I do is in AutoCAD you can explode the text. This will create pline entities of the text. And you would need to clean up the overlapped lines for certain fonts but this is pretty simple.

Next you ask...how do I explode the text in AutoCAD? This is a bonus/express tool found from the pull down menu "Express" -> "Text" -> "Explode Text"

If you don't have this email me and also which version of AutoCAD is it for?

Good luck!
