Hey gang! Been awhile. I have 2 files from a customer that are
Alphacam ARD files. Anyone here able to open and save to Mcam or DXF
for me? I had to change extension to .PDF to upload them so you will
have to change them back to an ARD extension.
Thanks in advance.

Hello all !!! Been a long time since I have dropped in for a visit.
I have a couple of Alphacam files a customer has sent me and
was wondering if a friendly soul had an Alphacam license and could
convert them to a dxf or mcam file for me? I had to change the
file extension to PDF but they are still .ARD files.
Thanks in advance gang.

No answers in Off Topic so I will try here. I am having problems cornering on my main machine and have to slow the corners down to 175IPM. I just tried to set it in my default file but it won't let me. Is there a way to set this so it is always set to what I need? I keep forgetting to set it and have to go back and repost files.
That process works great for me. I use both methods as I have a library built with commonly used ops and then I also use Racerx's method and go grab another file and pull ops out as well.
This is too wierd!!! I went back and did the program in X2 MR2 and posted it fine as usual. I had started with a similar part from X2 to start with. I then opened the good X2 file in X3MU1 and it posted perfectly!!! Scary stuff.
my machine and control def are set correctly. I have used the same lead in/out for years and it is working correctly except on pockets until this morning and now it is sretracting in xyz all of a sudden.
Since upgrading to X3, I am having a problem on canceling tool comp on an arc move. I have my machine & control set to not do this but it keeps doing in on the G40 only on a pocket it seems. Any help? Tired of editing all my programs.
And yes I have the latest update.
Ployd, your E is too loose.
Change the E 0.030 to E .001 and see if that makes a difference.
I would also change the A on the same line
from A .75 to A 100.0
N126 G51 A75 E0.030
CHANGE TO
N126 G51 A100 E.001
I should have stuck with HP. Only reason I went with Dell is one of my customers I do PC & IT work for on the side lets me charge my stuff on his credit card instead of paying me. The same pc in HP would have been $1k more than my dell. There is no option in X3 when you do a save as to specify X2 unless I am missing it.
What really sucks is I just got all my posts and all my other software setup and now it keeps bluescreening. I have about 2 hours of programming from last night I am supposed to run this afternoon at a customers location and now I will have to redo them in X2 on the old laptop.
JP, I loaded X3pc on the new pc in order to not have multiple installs and they are not playing well together. Since installing X3 I keep getting bluescreened. Wireless card conflicting with something called TODO in X3.
Just got my new Dell M6300 setup with Mcam. Are there any none issues I need to watch for using Vista? I have Vista Business, 4Gig ram, NVidia 1600M Video card. Going to a customer location with it this afternoon (I know it's crazy) and just wanted to know what to watch for. I have OpenGL off. Only issue I have gotten so far was on boot up this morning it blue screened and when I rebooted it told me that MCX and my wireless card were conflicting? Quirck?
Is there any way to clear the clipboard memory in X2 without closing and reopening Mcam? I have a large file with 84 toolpaths spread over a couple hundred rectangular parts. I just copy from level to level and stretch as needed but at this point I only get about 3 level copies before I have to close Mcam and restart.
