  1. Thanks guys for the quick replies! Mick I sent my email address then via msg ... and I'll check out the FTP site ... thanks again!
  2. I typically wouldn't ask .... but can someone convert a customer supplied MCX file to DXF file for me. I'm an ex-MasterCAM user, then an AlphaCAM user at a wood shop ... and now back to metal and at a EdgeCAM shop. *Woot*Woot* ... right? I tried explaining to the customer via email how to convert their MCX file to DXF for us with no luck :-) So can someone just open the attached file and export out a DXF for me? Thanks in advance! WWA BRAND.MCX
  3. John, Have you figured this out yet? We have an ONA Prima S250 here and using a post with Inch output with ni problem. I'm using the standard post with a few minor revision and mine posts with 5 decimal places. Few questions... What machine? Which version of MC? Have you check the System Tolerance? Go to System Configuration -> Tolerances -> System tolerance. Mine states 0.00005 Also check System Config -> Screen -> Number of places after decimal for analyze. Mine has 5. Just something to like at....
  4. Wow....lots of posts! Sorry was on vacation for almost 2 weeks... Never contact Fanuc about the issue. Don't know where to stop We usually see it in drill cycles but it isn't a 100%. It has also failed randomly on inter. moves too. it could be soo many different things. I think, what someone said, is to leave to controller on when it faults and let Fanuc come in and so whats up. Faulty dry run button could be checked but the problem goes away after cycling the power and doesn't come back after that. Once it happens it stays on the "rapid" state until cycling the power. I'm just glad other ppl have this propblem too. sorry Thanks
  5. Chris....we have seen that too... G00G90G55.....works and G90 G00G55....doesn't Who knows.... Nope dry run is not pressed. One cycle fine no problem as is...x amount cycles later....WHAM! Just confusing....and I agree on the Fanuc WTF thread!
  6. We've got a problem on a VMC with a Fanuc 18-MC controller. For whatever reason sometimes the machine runs a program completely in rapid mode. Almost like dry run. The program(s) are fine, "proven" programs too. It ignores all feedrate and interpolation calls, everything runs in rapid more a less. The problem is resolved by cycling the power then it's fine. It's not consistent problem / it doesn't happens at the same time after a certain action. It's completely random. Has anyone ran into this before? If so is there a solution? And or a reason? Thanks in advance! I posted the same question about 3 yrs ago....still haven't had any luck. We had another "mishap" and broke a good sized endmill recently.
  7. I got it..... Del, Under Files...hit the folder button...Navigate to the WirePower dict. then hit ok....then the drop down list shows them all. THEN you can press the ! mark to edit.... Kind of wierd....
  8. Ditto.... I need to change mine to ONA.POWER and I don't see where to do this....
  9. Any news on when Wire for X is coming then? Or did I miss it?
  10. But their phone is 1-888-FANUC-US And if it is FA-NOOK their phone number would be 1-888 FA NOOK US .... and I personally don't want to get FA-NOOK'D by anyone. When I was at IMTS I asked the guys and there in the FANUC booth and they said FAN-IK.
