I'm hoping to NOT have to re-install windows, but its not looking too good... anybody ever have anything like this happen to them? No new changes to the computer as far as software or hardware...Thanks in advance...

Apparently, there are a couple of viruses out there that re-write the search files program inside windows... mad.gif Then they slowly work their way through the rest of your system and start chewing up your ability to look in files and folders... banghead.gif IT guy had to whipe out my computer and start over. flame.gif I'd like to have about 5 minutes with the little pig*@%!ers eek.gif that write these viruses... curse.gif

Thanks for the help... cool.gif
