Programming for angle head attachment

Hi all,

I would like to know what would be the best method to program a milling operation using a 90 deg angle head. For ex.: angle head mounted on a horizontal milling machine with tool pointing to y- ( z move accomplished by table) Program must have drilling cycles and contouring using radius tool comp.

Thanks,

Thanks cadcam,

I will try to use Edit NCI-> transform -rotate (I did this before also)

I was actualy interested if there are specific setings available at the operation definition stage: like diferent tool and construction plane or some Misc values to indicate to the postprocessor to rotate the output.

We have programmed right angle heads with mastercam. On the parameter page select T/C plane, tool plane top and construction plane front or side depending on geometry. You can use cutter comp if you choose. Our posts are based on the generic fanuc post. When posted, the code should have a G18 or G19 plane select and K values for the incremental Z. Be careful, some machines do not default to G17 after reset, if restarting the machine, be sure the machine is proper plane or you will be responding to the "big crash" post.
