3/8 NPT Haas Lathe

I need help, on a Haas Lathe.

 

Need to turn a thread, 3/8 NPT x .600.

 

What I have is not working....

 

G76 X.5676 Z-.6000 I-.0146 K.0555 D.022 02

 

I'm just not getting a good thread.

Any help would be appreciated..

 

NPT on the Haas Lathe, this is the 1st time for us, I feel like an idiot!

I'm now mostly mill guy here but when in doubt I told our lathe guys to use long hand code.

Works every time, especially when mastercam does the code...

Are you sure that is for a HAAS? I didnt know thay could use 2 line threading cycle and E feed!!

It looks like your taper vale (I) is about half, thread hgt. (K) is under and I'm not sure what the O2 is for on the end!!

I call the guy over, who wrote the posted code down, and gave it to me.

 

I asked him to show me were he comes up with this stuff.

 

All I'm going to say is.... I should have gone and looked my-self, before pushing the help button.

The code I posted is for a SL30 that is being used everyday with some added features for barpulling, bar feed,etc.....
