ASP.NET Machine

The ASP.NET user is added to Windows 2000/XP machines. Both o/s can have IIS (Microsoft's web/FTP server software). When ASP (Active Server Pages) scripts are run, this is the user account that is used to run them. So if you're not using your computer to host a web or FTP site, then you won't ever be using the ASP.NET user. However, there is no harm in it being there if you're not using IIS.

In other words...it's normal for that ASP.NET user to be there and it will not harm your computer.

Now it probably caused all of you people will one computer account to have a little problem with auto login. That's a good thing. It forces you to actually login which is more secure. But if you want to have your computer automatically login for you, install TweakUI and look in the "Logon" section; you'll find what you're looking for.
