Solid Layout X

Sorry about that. Here's my workaround at the end of that thread....

"It's looking for SHEETAS.MC9 in the (non-existent) Tutorials sub-folder of your Mastercam X install. Even worse, it tries to open it by running it through the part of the software which opens MCX files.

Therefore, you need to...

1) Create a Tutorials sub-folder under your X install folder

2) Copy C:Mcam9TutorialsSheetAS.MC9 to it.

3) Use X's File/Open function to open that MC9 file.

4) Save it as ...TutorialsSheetAS.MCX

5) Delete ...TutorialsSheetAS.MC9

6) Rename ...TutorialsSheetAS.MCX --> SheetAS.MC9

What you end up with is an MCX file masquerading as an MC9 file. You won't be able to open this MC9 with File/Open, but the Layout function will handle this properly."

Note that once X Service pack is released, it'll work as it should
