Has any got the ncdatasheet to work in MCX?

 

For a tool list at the machine I have always used the right click doc file in operations manager from V9.1.

 

File was named oplist.doc that worked great for us.

you have to set up your config to see the appropriate .set file when you right click

in the op mgr field. I can send you mine if you

I hope you are right Bruce. I have not seen any setup sheet that compares to ncdatasheet. The ease and versatility is awesome.

Hi guys,

 

In the past I have been using the Mastercam GUI for a setup sheet. What is the ncdatasheet? I looked in the help file and I guess you guys are using a .Set file....

 

If you go into Configuration you will find an option to set Mastercam's setup sheet back to GUI. Then if you select operations in the Toolpath Manager and right-click, choose the setup sheet, you will get the V9 style GUI and you can click on the big tools button on the left side of the dialog box to get a tool list.

ncdatasheet is a chook that pulls tool and operation data from your operations list. It doesn't run like a post processor and because it has the option of using an excell template anyone can customise it to look how they like. I have it mapped to F12 so I just select the ops I am after and set my screen view to show what I would like on the setup sheetm hit F12 and print.

I just downloaded the file and extracted the ncdatasheet.dll to C:mcamxchooks on my pc.

 

Mastercam gives me the following error message when I try to use it:

 

Open error

 

Unknown file type

 

Am i doing something wrong?
