` symbol in post?

Here's a sample line from my post(modified version of Generic Fanuc 3 axis mill.pst):

 

pcan1, pbld, n$, sgplane, `sgcode, sgabsinc, pccdia,

pxout, pyout, pzout, feed, strcantext, scoolant, e$

 

What does the ` symbol before sgcode do?

It tells MP not to output the G-Code if nothing else is output on that line. Keeps you from getting something like N100 G0

Paul does it also serve as a do if you need it from eahc line to the next. Like a filter in such that you have a ghange from G00 to G01 from line to line you get that in the NC code but would not get

 

N100G00 X0.00 Y0.00

N101G00 X1.00 Y0.00

 

but only get the following code using `:

 

N100G00 X0.00 Y0.00

N101 X1.00 Y0.00

No sir, the output of the gcode is coming from a string selector so it is modal. The graves symbol simply makes the output dependant on other output on that line.
