mcam solids\drafting vs ug

I can see mastercam 5-axis programming suiting our requirements but how does mastercam solids and drafting compare to uni-graphics?

Mastercam uses the Parasolid Kernel from UG so from that standpoint it is GIGO. As far as the drafting - are you looking at creating detail drawings or just interested in wireframe. If detail drawings - then you may find it a little weak, if you are looking only to created wireframe process models, then MC is the greatest!

Mfgeng has a good slam dunk description here. M.C. purpose is to make the shape. The actual drawings on paper will be weaker than CAD only software's.

Cant beat Mcam solids for the price if ya

just wanna draw a quick final model for

cutting,any prototype drawings though i

prefer solid edge because of the parametric

abilities,wish mastercam would incorporate

that into their solids package
