Need Help Surfacing/Stuck

I need a little help surfacing. I've Ftp my sample under the mc9 file folder/Accurate. This part is kinda like Tutorial 15 in the Mill Tutorial Book V9. But there is a concave surface on the bottom. Cant get it to blend nice to the outer walls. Can anyone help me to see what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

I think you should call your dealer for some help on this one. Is he close enough for you to go to his office?

 

I'm assuming you want help on the toolpathing, the surfaces themselves look pretty good.

He did call his dealer, I told him to come here.

He's got quite a few surface parts coming up to do. He's been programming/ writing posts for a long time, but is just now gettining into surfacing in his shop.

I look at your part, the bottom rad is .0625. This sucks cause that menas to cut it smooth you have to use a .125 ball. With the pocket being as deep as it is you need to cut it close with a .25 then make multi passes outward with the .125 to keep from deflecting. For the fininsh you might try using finish project.

I used contour on the sides and shallow on the bottom and through in a pencil trace to clean the bottom radius. But, as Jimmy said an 1/8 ball is needed to get it to finish out good. I have what I did at home so if you need it let me know and I will post it up tonight. Gary

I been playing around with it. I played around with it getting better results.More less trrial and error. I have one of my guys cutting on it right now. Little sandpaper might do the trick. If you would post your results would be great.
