  1. Hello, We currently hvae a huge project to which we are currently cutting SS 304. We are experimenting with different cutters and trying to track the tool life of these. Trying to make the point with using the Haas Tool life to 0 out the counter everytime the tool is changes. This doesn't seem to be happening. Want to track this no matter what thru a spreadsheet. Wondering what other people are using and or care to share something they use. Thanks Bill
  2. When you post a topic and when someone reply's it will send a email to you with responses.
  3. We have a current project to which no models are being provided. These parts are of a window frame shape with 45 degees on each side. There are approxiamently 95 of these parts. Is there a function that if I draw up one of these that has a scale function but need to maintain the 45 degrees cut a the same size. Thanks Bill

  5. We are currently using V9.1 here at the shop. Was working a large plate for one of our customers(lot of operations). I saved my work yesterday and came back today to work on. When I opened up the file this morning all my operations had red x's. I went to regenerate toolpaths and said no gemotery selected. Don't know if the NCI is corrupt or what happened. Have I lost everything as far at my selected geometry. Help. Any ideas. Thanks Bill
  6. We have not done a whole lot of small driling in Alum. We inherited a job which has 400 .010 hole thru a .060 wall. This will be done on 50 parts. We also inhertited there drills. 8. We are trying to develop a CNC Maintenance/PM chart and program especially for our Haas machines. Wanting to make it simple for both the operator/set-up/ and new maintenance guy. Does anyone have forms that may be excel format that they would not mind sending for getting an idea for would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bill
  9. We are unfamilar with MC 901 Cast Nylon. We have been given a package to quote that all parts are out of this material. All types of shapes and sizes. One is trying how to hold with no thru holes thru the part. Many of these have either full radius or 90 chamfer for the outside contour. How abrasive is this material? How stable as far as flatness after machining is it? Any other Tips and tricks would be appreciated. Thanks Bill
  10. Anyone have a recommendation for a drill/and or ream. Drilling Black Delrin .251 +.003/-.000 @ 6.500 deep min. Must be straight within .010. Will be done a lathe. Any suggestions Bill Accurate Machine

  12. When ready to use backplot, the operations manager stays open and have to toggle the operations manager to view full screen. Unlike V9 the operations manager would disappear until finish backplot and pressing the esc to get back. Can this be done in X2 Thanks Bill
  13. Is is a way to have the operations manager be toggle by using the right mouse button. Something I like to have hidden when not using. Been using Alt-0. More conveiant from the right mouse button. Don't see it under the Customize Screen. Thanks Bill
  14. We have a total of 12 Haas here ranging from Tool-Room to VF7. They are good for what they are. We beat them up everyday and still going. We have our own maintance guy which keeps them in tip top shape. Several of them have pallet changers. Bad Design. Umbrella Tool Changer really bad design. We had a 20 tool changer fall right down last night. Smashed all the tools and way covers. 6 Tools in the changer. Overall very happy with the Haas for the value. They are good for the work we do.
