Alt+X

When I use the Alt+X (sets attributes from entity) function, it always selects the entity that I click on. If I use the “Same as” button in the Attributes dialog box to select an entity from the graphics window to set the current system geometry attributes, the entity is not selected. Does anyone know how to turn the selection mode off while using Alt+X?

Can you clarify a little bit? I'm not sure what "turn the selection mode off while using Alt+X" means.

Are you saying that the entity remains selected after using Alt-X? I don't see that happening.

I take that back. I was looking at it in a build of MR1. It works there, but after testing it in SP1, I see that it does keep the entity selected.

So, the truth is you found a bug, but we've already corrected it for MR1.

I do not see this problem fixed in MR1/SP2. How does it look in a build of MR2?

My eyes have deceived me. It's not fixed. If you use Alt-X and pick and entity, that entity stays highlighted (which can certainly cause you problems later if you hit, say, "Delete").

I'll log it and take care of it.

This same thing happens with create>curve>all edges, the selected surface(s) stay highlighted after exiting the command.
