3d curve from a solid

I just uploaded an MC8 file named 3d chamfer

to cadcam's ftp site.

I'm trying to run a 3d chamfer around the holes in the tapered surface.

I created a 3d curve using Create/Curve/One Edge/

From Solid. (red line)

If you zoom up on the red line, you can see it

deviates from the eddge of the solid at about 8 o'clock in an iso view.

Any suggestions from the surfacing guru's???

I get a good toolpath if I create a surface and project circles onto it, but that seems like a lot of work when I've already got a solid model.

Fortunately I ran this through Predator before

making chips. This files crashes MC verify.

Hi gcode,

I went thru this i get the same problem.

I was just talking with some one else on this forum that had thiese trouble.

So to take care of it fast, I made create surface , trim/extend,fill holes.

Then from there, told it to make curve one edge and it work great with no project involved.
