Zeiss is a German machine, Very nice and Very good. Brown and Sharpe also make a heck of a machine. For price, performance and best value, Mitutoyo is hard to beat. Watch the software add ons and if you are after statistical - on the CMM use the Statpak - not the Measurelink.

Again - the price level you are interested will dictate the type of machine. Are you interested in some sort of laser scanning attachments?

In Israel we have only Mitutoyo and LK.

I heard that LK's software is better then Mitutoyo,

as far as i know LK is based on Acis engine, and it works very good with true solids.

on the other hand,Mitutoyo's software is a franch software that has some problems with complicated surfaces.

Again,I'm not sure at all, that is what i heard.

Does anyone here knows LK??it's an english machine.

This days the prices are more or less the same.

Are you sure Zeiss is not available? If at all possible get a Zeiss w/ Calypso software. If you need to check free-form 3D surfaces add the Holos software. If your budget allows get a scanning machine. Mechanically the Zeiss is equaled only by SIP and Leitz. The Zeiss software is far more powerful and user friendly.
