wow... thaks for all the replies. I will never force my programers to update to X2. But i really hope they will.some day.

We are still running v9.1 We know we should update but when it comes to decide, i prefer my the convenience of working in a version that we already know very good and we work fast and efficient, instead of start learning a new version, and because of that - work slower for some time. Our programers very busy and it's never a good time to update... Any magical solution?

I live in the north of Israel and the last few weeks were crazy for us anyway, the war is over for now and i hope i will spend my time learning my new 5 axis machine and not patrolling on the border with syria and lebanon.

I was released from duty tonight (will go back at sunday to celebrate with my friends. I am happy to be back home and can't wait to see my new Hass 5 axis machine. I will upload some photos tomorrow.

i think i was the first one in Israel that updated to X. But after woking with it for a week of two i went back to 9. should i go to X now? does it really better then 9 now??

i can buy 3 seats of solidcan and 3 seats of cimatron with the price of 1 mastercam. don't compare mc to catia. I have 2 seats of mastercam and i need another one but 3 seats with maintanence for this 3 seats become a lot of money.i feel that somtimes CNC forget that Israel IS NOT U.S.A! what did i really get from MC inthe last 2 years?? ok, i had few releses of service packs and i waited more then 2 years for X (2 years for a really bad and slow version of mastercam,but we discussed it before). Don't take me wrong.Mastercam is a part of my life.i work with it 12-14 hours a day and i teach it too, but the price is just to much! my local dealer is a very close friend and in the last 3 years he is my guide and he teached me a lot about programing and post and technology.but we're going to talk.i am not sure i will be able to keep my maintanence!

gcode, if i understand you right, it means that if i buy now without multi axis it will cost less then the price i paid for v9?

so, now multi axis costs more money+the maintanance i pay every year+the price of the software (twice then every other software there is in the market). it means that if i need solid+level 3+multi axis+maintanence every year i can't afford it. You wont belive how much pressure i get from the competitors. MC changed our factory. since we have it we are able to do better and more complicated parts.i love MC and i can't think about other software.but... THERE IS A LIMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i will be happy to learn some more of your tricks. it could be nice if i coul'd have few new tricks even during the day

It was really hard for me to admit to myself that 9 is just more practical for now. I said to myself that i'm the problem and that i have to get used to this version.but the thing is i got used to it.and still 9 is better. i'm talking about the small things that makes my life hard with X.

After almost 3 month working 100% with X, i decided to go back to 9 for now. The user interface has still a lot of problems and i think it takes more time to program at X then at 9. i gave X its time.at the last 3 monthes i gave it a chance, i worked only with X and i got used to it, and it has some cool options.but i still think the 9 is faster. Will wait for the maintanence to come.

Pete, I will email to qc. it became like this messages you have when you install a demo version : "you now have 5 day to register..." and you get this message 50 times a day! A cup of tea wont calm me down!!!!!

I am tired of the message : "The magenta toolpath is only a simulation of the control's path..." i can't see this message anymore. all day i program with mastercam and i am really tired of getting this fu*#%n message!!!!! How do i get rid of it??????? after 10 hours infront of the computer i can't see this message!

I spoke with Iskander and i still wait for his answer, he has some personal problems but i hope we will work together one day. anyone else?
