Mpmaster post question

I started to use the mpmaster post instead of our mphaas post because we needed a toollist at the begining of the nc file.

We do 4th axis rotary positioning.

The Mphaas post would output the "A" axis up to 360 degrees and then start over with zero.

The Mpmaster post goes well beyond 360.

This causes the machine to unwind.

does anyone know to fix this?

Hi Rory!

I was just looking around in that post, and there is a question #"Limit rotary indexing between 0 and 360? (0=no, 1=yes)

My default is set to no, so you might try changing that 0 to a one and see what it does.

I have been trying to figure out a way to put a tool list at the beginning of the post without having to do it manually. The Mpmaster does this? SInce you are using a Haas, what else did you have to change? I am using a Haas VF-2, and the tool list would make things a lot easier since I'm not the only one that runs the machine.

Mpmaster works on the Haas right out of the gate.

I did make some changes, most of which were a matter of preference.

I can e-mail it to you if you like.

Rory: You might also want to take a look at one of your parameters on the Haas. There is an option for "Quick Rotary G28" which sends the rotary to the nearest 0-360 value no matter what the A-axis readout says.
