Video Card Question

I am running an ATI FireGL V3100 video card in my machine that is speced out above and beyone the requirements of mastercam. Is anyone else running this card or having mastercam X crash when they verify a complex part. It was crashing on me when i would transform a toolpath, but now that I have a very complex part that in the end is going to have about 100 operations. I want to verify it before i cut it. QC at mastercam says that they are working on a solution, but some think that it is my video card. Any ideas???

I run the same card.

 

I DO NOT have any crashing problems.

 

Hardware acceleration all they way up.

 

Make sure you have the latest drivers for the card.

how do i turn hardware acceleration all the way up?

Well you can check by going

 

right click on desktop >> properties >> settings >advanced >> troubleshoot and make sure the slider is all the way to the right

I am running the same card and the driver version I have is 6.14.10.6521 so maybe start where John said.

Is 6.14.10.6521 the newest one avaliable?

I think this is what my problem is becuae the newest driver avaliable for this video card was realeased on 9/30/2005 and the one on my machine is from 9/7/2004. Hopefully it works. Thanks for the advice.

Anyone else there using the SIS chipset with Mastercam X?

 

I am beginning to think that they dont play nice together.

 

I have x on 2 computers. Both use Nvidia gaming cards in them.

 

I only have trouble on the one at work with the SIS chipset

 

Both are Intel p4's but the one at the house has an Intel chipset on the Mainboard.

Hey J.Keilman. It might a simple problem for a graphix to crash. Sometimes it can be a heat problem so u can check to see if its getting a little tempered. Maybe a better cooling would help. Although i dont have that graphix card, heat sometimes causes crashes. Hope that helps you.
