what am I missing?

I just brought in a file from v9 to x. It had operations with it, which I needed, so I created a new machine group then copy and pasted them into it the new group. I had to regenerate the operations. Now when I try to post out these operations, I am promted to select a new file name for every tool. I think this happened before, but cant remember what I did to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

check the nci file name

Sounds like you need to select all of your ops and right click, edit common para., change nci name to machine_group_1. See if that helps, I had the same thing happen to me last week. That fixed it.

What year was you here? We have did quite a bit of work for Mattel when they were here.

I served my apprenticeship from 94-97. I also worked for Heartland Tool and Die part time. I left there in 98 to come here and run this shop.

In the ops manager under properties,files set the toolpath name.

Also you could right click on the group of toolpaths,edit selected operations,change NC file name.

Yeah Gary was one of the guys who didn't have alot of time for the apprentices. He was always working on something and saying "perfect" when he was done. I used to sit at lunch and talk to him and Danny some days. He was always nice, but always busy.
