Woah is that hot. And dangerous. Now I can look in on employees desktops while they are surfing for porn or e-mailing their girlfriends. This is an administrative wet dream and an employee nightmare. Almost seems illegal. I don't see dial in support or gateway support so I guess you could only tie in to the computer actually connected to the internet. I will test that later tonight. It is faster on the lan than pca and costs allot less. I don't think however it can replace pca because of lack of dial in.

I imagine I should explain my level of humor. Very high. People that work with me read the forum and know that any spying I am involved in wouldn't be posted on a public forum!

Yes, Yes, Yes. Did it last night from the front office to the computer in another building. It's easy. Uhh... that is.... Well, glance at your VCR when you get home. If it is flashing 12:00, then maybe you should buy PC anywhere. I do however have a question for Bullines-

All my computers have a seperate IP address. If a network was set up for DHCP then how would you connect to the host? Computer name? Never played with DHCP.

From memory... (take with a grain of salt)

On a Windows 2k network:

If a the DHCP service is used, then name resolution (the process of determining the IP address from the network name) happens when the client queries the DNS server, which can be the same server as the DHCP server.

On a Windows NT network:

Whether or not a DHCP server is used, name resolution occurs through the NetBios layer. NetBios can run on TCP/IP, IPX, or NetBEUI.
