solid compare

Hi,

Is there a way to compare 2 solids??

Most of our customers send solids and sometimes they do some changes, and they send the solid again.

How do i compare the solids??if it's a complicated part, what is the fastest way to know the difference between the 2 solids??

Thanks,

PDG,

This may work sometimes, but in many cases the result will be the familiar message regarding

the "this would result in a disjoint body"... frown.gif

Another way: DO a rough pocket with a small cutter on the original part. Then create a surface contour restmill on your second part.

The restmill toolpath will show you the differences.

You may need to do it again reversed: the original toolpath on the second part and the restmill on the fisrt part.

Just another idea.
