Are you changing the setting by going to the Machine Type dropdown menu (I bet you are) or through the Machine Group Properties in the ops manager? If you are changing the value in the control definition via the Machine Type dropdown you are changing the disk copy - this will not effect any existing settings in the local copies stored in any existing .mcx files (including the one you are now working on) without reloading the machine definition (and grabbing a new "snapshot" of the disk copy).

 

Change the value via the Machine Group Properties and it will effect the output immediately (and only for that machine group - it will not change the disk copy so it will not affect any future files created).

 

Here's a hint... Look at the top of the Machine Definition manager or Control Definition manager. There is a path displayed on the title bar. If this path has your machine group name in it you are modifying a local copy. If it has a hard disk path on it,you are modifying the hard disk copy.
